Our Work in Progress
Our goal for 2022 was to increase our outreach to 6,000 youth. We were successful- impacting over 6,700 youth! Thank you for your donations and support in helping us reach this goal! Our plans are to grow our outreach by 15% each year, as measured by the number of youth served through programs we fund and/or facilitate, with a long-term goal of serving 8,000 youth by the year 2024. FOYAN will aim to grow our fundraising disbursement by 15% each year, to an amount of $75,000 by 2024. We will continue to provide assistance with bus transportation for school field trips, scholarships to youth for nature and outdoor programs, and scholarships to teachers to attend environmental education and related conferences. We will continue to seek funds through grants and other sources, and leverage these funds with partners to extend our reach and impact on youth participation in nature/outdoor opportunities, public lands stewardship, and healthy lifestyle projects. Our website is developing into a comprehensive resource for teachers, group leaders and parents to find information on natural science curricula, outdoor activities, organizations that offer outdoor/nature programs, places to rent outdoor gear, tips on outdoor adventures, where to go, how to be prepared, and most importantly, how to have fun with your kids outside!
