A FREE GEAR LIBRARY!
Camping gear, snowshoes, cross-country ski equipment and a fleet of mountain bikes are available for youth in Montrose, Delta, and Ouray counties. This library aims to provide equal access to outdoor experiences for families who cannot afford gear. Youth from Partners and Families Plus get a lesson on braking/shifting mt bikes at Ridgway State Park from Montrose Recreation District Staff.
NATURE LEARNING EVENTS! Nature is amazing! We want to bring the magic of it to our youth through hands-on interactions with natural resource specialist and explorations on our public lands. A Forest Service wildlife biologist explains adaptations owls have for flying at night. Major funding for TRY comes from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) - Generation Wild:Join us in our mission to connect more kids to nature!
