working with our partners:
 Together for Resilient Youth

We want our youth to be confident, healthy and resilient....
Nature and outdoors experiences can help!

TOGETHER FOR RESILIENT YOUTH (TRY)!
We work with community partners to give under-served youth opportunities to be active outdoors by providing equipment, transportation and  mentors/instructors for outdoor activities. We facilitate TRY with a coalition of youth organizations: Families Plus, Partners, CASA7JD, Haven House for the Homeless, Black Canyon Boys and Girls Club, Peer Kindness, Voyagers, and Hilltop Family Services. Colorado Parks and Wildlife, Montrose Recreation District, and others help us provide  bi-monthly events for these youth to experience outdoor activities and create a bond with nature.

A FREE GEAR LIBRARY!
Camping gear, snowshoes, cross-country ski equipment and a fleet of mountain bikes are available for youth in Montrose, Delta, and Ouray counties. This library aims to provide equal access to outdoor experiences for families who cannot afford  gear.

Youth from Partners and Families Plus get a lesson  on braking/shifting mt bikes at Ridgway State Park from Montrose Recreation District Staff.

NATURE LEARNING EVENTS!
Nature is amazing! We want to bring the magic of it to our youth through hands-on interactions with natural resource specialist and explorations on our public lands.
